Geometric Volume of Fluid Methods for the Simulation of Two-phase Flow on Unstructured Meshes
I will outline a novel computational framework for simulating incompressible two-phase flows in real engineering systems. Computational geometry is leveraged to develop a novel conservative interface-capturing method coupled to an original sharp-interface, prediction-correction, incompressible, colocated node-based finite-volume flow solver. The methods are implemented into a parallel unstructured solver to perform high-fidelity numerical simulations of liquid jet atomization from industrial fuel injectors at operating conditions.
