The fourth-order accurate finite volume method developed by Colella, et al, for time-dependent hyperbolic conservation laws on locally refined, mapped grids is implemented in the astrophysics framework ATHENA++. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional gas dynamics test problem results are presented and performance and accuracy trade-offs are evaluated on modern architectures.
