Livermore Lab Video Features Former Fellows

Date

Two alumni of the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship play prominent roles in a video that debuted at the 2019 International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics in Valencia, Spain, July 15-19.

The video describes activities at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC). Director Jeffrey Hittinger, a fellow from 1996 to 2000, and Teresa Bailey, a fellow from 2002 to 2006 and now deterministic transport lead in the lab’s Weapons and Complex Integration program, discuss how CASC uses high-performance computing for research in the interest of national security.
