Nuclear Weapons: Past, Present, and Future

This talk covers basic nuclear weapon function, the history of nuclear weapons testing and development, and the evolution of the stockpile to today's deterrent. Current developments in nuclear deterrence are discussed and the future role of nuclear weapons in national security are examined. The role of science and engineering in support of the future stockpile will be addressed.
