Improving Via the Postdoc

As a graduate student, I progressed from someone who followed orders to someone who developed research plans and worked independently, advancing professionally through the opportunities provided by MSU/NSCL and the DOE NNSA SSGF.  As a result, I produced a detailed research proposal for my postdoc and am now exploring multiple research directions simultaneously.  I'll briefly discuss these research topics, as well as the benefits of a postdoc beyond its scientific aspects.
