Stockpile Stewardship Challenges: Los Alamos National Laboratory Highlights

Since the inception of the Stockpile Stewardship Program, there have been numerous challenges that have been encountered at the national nuclear laboratories.  In this unclassified presentation, I will describe some of the basic nuclear weapons fundamentals, coupled with some of the active research areas currently being examined.  Included in this will be descriptions of some of the key facilities used to explore these research areas at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
