Tools and Techniques for Communicating Research
A successful research career depends not only on conducting incisive experiments and publishing in top journals. You must also explain your work effectively to important audiences: your colleagues, potential collaborators in other disciplines, officers in funding agencies and foundations, donors, your institution's leaders, corporate partners, students, legislators, your own family and friends, journalists, and the public.
This presentation will cover understanding lay audiences, using visuals to give compelling talks, and writing clear and engaging research explanations.
