Students in the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration's Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship program are part of an innovative group charged with advancing our understanding in areas important to stewardship science. An annual program review makes it possible for these leaders to get together, share ideas, support one another, and discover the research opportunities at Department of Energy laboratories.
The third of these meetings was held July 13-16, 2009, as fellows were invited to attend the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) program review. A separate DOE NNSA SSGF welcome dinner served as the first official event for program attendees who, for the first time, also participated in a stand-alone day of talks specific to the program. For the third and final year, fellows participated in a joint poster session with the DOE CSGF.
