The A=32 T=2 quintet demonstrates three main aspects of isospin mixing: the need to go beyond three terms in the isobaric mass multiplet equation, isospin-forbidden proton decay in 32Cl, and an isospin-mixing correction to the allowed Fermi beta decay of 32Ar. A unified theoretical description demonstrates that all three effects which have been observed experimentally can be traced to a common origin related to isospin mixing between T=2 and T=1 states.
