Purpose
The Krell Institute ("Krell") uses web applications (apps) to administer fellowships for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE CSGF, DOE NNSA SSGF and DOE NNSA LRGF). These apps include but are not limited to fellowship applications and fellows' and alumni portals. For ease of use, these apps may support single sign-on (SSO) using external providers.
User Data
During the SSO process, Krell only requests from providers the information needed to perform authentication. This includes the user's email address and persistent ID. Additional data may be sent by the provider as part of a standard authentication protocol but such data is not processed or stored by Krell.
