2008 Annual Conference

Students in the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration’s Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship program are part of an innovative group charged with advancing our understanding in areas important to stewardship science. An annual conference makes it possible for these leaders to get together, share ideas, support one another, and discover the research opportunities at Department of Energy laboratories.

The second of these annual Fellows’ meetings was held June 16-19, 2008, in conjunction with the Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF) 2008 Annual Fellows’ Conference. It is expected that this combining of conferences will continue for a few years until the SSGF program has grown to a size that makes a conference of its own feasible.

The agenda for the SSGF conference was virtually identical to that of the CSGF conference; therefore, we refer you to the CSGF conference agenda to see what went on. The SSGF fellows made poster presentations in conjunction with the CSGF Fellows’ poster session; you can view their poster abstracts here.
