Ames, Iowa (June 9, 2011) —
Recognizing an ever-increasing demand for scientists highly trained in areas of interest to stewardship science, the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration founded the Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE NNSA SSGF) in 2006.  Now in its sixth year, six new fellows are being welcomed into the program.

As part of the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE NNSA SSGF) program's outreach and professional development efforts, nine fellows and one alumnus will attend the 2010 Stewardship Science Academic Alliance (SSAA) Symposium in Washington, D.C., January 20 - 22.
Ames, Iowa (September 30, 2009) —
The Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE NNSA SSGF) program is pleased to announce that Miguel Morales, a member of the first award class, has completed his Ph.D. studies in physics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. A native of Dorado, Puerto Rico, Morales conducted doctoral research under the direction of advisor David Ceperley in the field of theoretical condensed matter physics.
