Everet Beckner, Deputy
Administrator of Defense Programs (DOE/NNSA), shakes hands
with Thomas Epperly, LLNL, at the 2003 DOE CSGF meeting
as John May, LLNLDOE HPCSF Coordinator, looks on.

The Department of Energy High-Performance Computer
Science Fellowship was formed by Los Alamos National
Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory,
and Sandia National Laboratories to foster long-range
computer science research efforts in support of the
distinctive challenges of high-performance computing.
A conference for these High-Performance Computer Science
fellows makes it possible for these leaders to get
together, share ideas, support one another, and discover
the research opportunities at Department of Energy
laboratories.
The DOE HPCSF Conference occurs immediately before the
DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship meeting and
HPCSF students are invited to attend and participate in the
CSGF meeting.
