Alexander S. Rattner

Alexander Rattner is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at Pennsylvania State University and principal investigator of the Multiscale Thermal Fluids and Energy Lab. He received his Ph.D. in 2015 from the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) recipient. He completed his DOE CSGF practicum in 2012 at Idaho National Laboratory, where he focused on illustrative visualization methods for fluid flow simulations. His research expertise includes waste heat recovery, absorption refrigeration, air-cooled condensers for power plants and experimental and computational multiphase flow heat and mass transfer.
