Poster sessions offer a unique challenge for communicating science to diverse audiences, from “shop talk” with colleagues to explanations to scientists from different fields, lay persons and the press. All first-, second- and-third year fellows compete in a poster contest at the annual DOE CSGF conference.
Debuted in 2009, the poster contest acknowledges great visual, oral and overall impact in a poster presentation. Alumni and friends of the program serve as judges, and cash prizes are awarded for winning entries.
