(See the ``hot buttons'' located throughout.) <P> Second, you must realize that mathematics really cannot be done without pencil and paper in hand. Examples and exercises appear below which you should attempt to work out alone before checking the answers in the text. To benefit to the fullest, do <B>not</B> look at the solutions before working through problems on your own. <P> Ultimately, enjoy the work you are doing and spend as much or as little time as needed on a topic before you continue.
