Heat
Extension

  • As stated on the background and modelling pages, finding a transient solution to this heat problem is much more difficult. As an extension, model this system with time dependence.
  • Our assumption of homogeneity greatly simplified our problem. Add a small rectangular section of a different material to the interior of the circle and model this as a steady state problem. To do this, you will need to find the diffusivity constants(k) for the materials in the system.
  • In our problem, all the energy came from the exernal heaters. Model a system that contains internal heat sources and sinks.
