Heat
Extension
As stated on the background and modelling pages, finding a transient
solution to this heat problem is much more difficult. As an extension, model
this system with time dependence.
Our assumption of homogeneity greatly simplified our problem. Add a
small rectangular section of a different material to the interior of the circle and model this as a
steady state problem. To do this, you will need to find the diffusivity
constants(k) for the materials in the system.
In our problem, all the energy came from the exernal heaters. Model a
system that contains internal heat sources and sinks.
