EE link
The mission of this site is to spread information and ideas to help users explore the environment and investigate current issues. Projects include a list of endangered species and an environmental facts sheet.

EnvironLink
An on-line environmental community with many links and projects.

Environmental primers
These tutorials from British petroleum include acid rain and renewable energy (click on "key texts"). There are also links to international issues (click on "useful links").

National Environmental Data Index
NEDI provides direct access to environmental data and information descriptions, and thereby, improves awareness of and facilitates access to data and information holdings.

Natural Resources Research Information Pages
Intended as "an Internet resource guide for natural resources," this site offers hundreds of Web resources categorized by type (institutions and organizations, government agencies, databases and literature, conferences and research news, and outdoor recreation research) and then by region and country of origin.

The Mining Company's Guide to the Environment
Prepared guides to many subjects of environmental interest, such as acid rain and ozone, with news and features.

Ecosystems: plants, animals and geological formations

Aquatic Ecology Page
Links to anything related to the water environment.

Explores!
Florida State University's online answer to the Weather Channel lets you know what weather's like in other areas. Provides lots of good information on weather statistics, patterns, and more.

EPA Office of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds
A searchable on-line database and a huge store of publicly available information about wetlands, waste water, etc., from the EPA. Maps are also available as part of this useful resource.

Globe Program
Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment is a worldwide network of students, teachers, and scientists working together to study and understand the global environment. GLOBE students make environmental observations at or near their schools and report their data through the Internet. Scientists use GLOBE data in their research and provide feedback to the students. You must register to be involved in this program, but you will probably find a ready source of data for an environmental project.

Man and the Biosphere Species Database
The MAB Program is developing worldwide databases of vascular plant and vertebrate animal occurrences within MAB Biosphere Reserves. Currently, the databases contain data from 273 Biosphere Reserves in 76 countries.

Population Ecology Home Page
The purpose of this home page is to integrate information on quantitative population studies on the Web. It helps to find population models and data that can be used in research and educational projects. Lecture courses and electronic publications address major problems in population ecology.
