Unit 6 Introduction to Computing

Each student will:

  1. Define the terms
  2. List the five steps involved in the process using the computer to solve a problem.
  3. Recognize the difference between solving the problem and getting results from the computer program used to solve the problem.
  4. Formulate mathematical models and algorithms for given problems.
  5. Define the terms:

  7. Formulate a simple mathematical model.
  8. Use an editor to create a fortran 90 program file.
  9. Compile a fortran 90 program.
  10. Execute a fortran 90 program.
  11. Test a fortran 90 program with multiple data sets.
